Our Preta collection dresses up for the party, after spray painting, a real gold border is brushed on, giving the collection greater elegance and personality. A “Casual-Chic” style, a sophisticated but practical touch for an everyday table with a distinctly Italian personality. The gold used is 8% real, which allows it to be used in the dishwasher, making the items resistant to washing.
The manufacturing of these products is done with artisanal and not industrial processes. Arcucci ceramic supports, enameled and decorated, with a white base, rich artisanal enamel with native minerals, decorated manually with a wide range of warm and bright colors, obtained from natural oxides and with the use of different manual techniques.
The “biscuit” is made with a press, with sophisticated automatic equipment. Gypsum molds are used, this material, in fact, absorbs the water of the wet mass. Subsequently the body of the ceramic contracts and can therefore be easily extracted from the mold. This process requires both skill and accuracy, as well as particular technical training. Like Porcelain, it undergoes the first firing to become biscuit at 750-800 °C, to then be glazed and subjected to a new firing at 850-1100 °C. The use of lower temperatures allows majolica to create bright and brilliant colors and glazes.
