Chasseur’s history has its roots in the heart of the Ardennes, during the Belle Époque. Or more precisely, in 1924, when the Invicta foundry was founded in the Meuse Valley, a major center for metallurgy. Founded by Fernand Sueur, the company would remain a family business for nearly 90 years. The Chasseur brand has been awarded the “Made in France Guarantee”: the only certification that guarantees that a product has been made in France. Chasseur cast iron casseroles and pots are produced using an age-old process.
Invicta, founded in the Champagne-Ardenne region in 1924, Invicta designs and manufactures traditional cast iron casseroles to delight those who love the authentic and distinctive flavors associated with slow cooking. It’s no longer a secret; cast iron is the ideal material for cooking because it can spread and retain heat evenly over a long period of time. The flavors and aromas of a slow-cooked cast iron dish remain intense and the natural colors of the food are naturally preserved. Each Invicta handcrafted cast iron product is a unique work of art.
