Description
The Abeille collection, it was on the occasion of Napoleon’s coronation ceremony that the coats of arms, coats of arms and heraldic figures of the New Kingdom were officially chosen. The Bee made its appearance very discreetly, at the Emperor’s sole request and, for no particular reason, used them everywhere.
nIt was then found on court coats, leathers, upholstery, carpets, flags. A travel kit in light blue morocco, gilded with small irons, on a background of bee plants, preserved in the Carnavalet museum, was the source of inspiration for this collection.
