Arcucci’s story

The beginnings

After a decade at the helm of a leading industrial group, in 1981 Giuseppe Arcucci founded his own commercial company “Arcucci Trade ” which distributes well known international brands in Italy using an efficient commercial organization and modern marketing strategies.

New generations

In the early 90s his children Cristiano and Simona joined the company bringing new energy and new motivations.

Arcucci today

In 2010, following the international crisis caused by the American financial collapse, Arcucci decided to capitalize on his skills in the ceramic world.

He decided to add a production facility to the commercial division, investing in factories and relaunching MADE IN ITALY productions that under the brands “ARCUCCI” and “ARCUCCI HOME” have achieved leadership on the Italian and international markets.

How ceramics are made

Our Arcucci ceramic is made by reaching the highest temperatures allowed and this gives our objects brilliance and variety of colors.

It is also combined with a robustness that can easily be used in the dishwasher, microwave and is very resistant to impacts.

Earth and water are therefore like the substance and soul of ceramic.

The other two elements that intervene in the work, air and fire, are emanations of a spirit that acts on the multiple transformations of the matter.

To conclude, however, it is important to be aware of the effect of an orderly relationship of everything expressed.

Our Arcucci ceramic with a mediterranean flavor evokes an accurate masterpiece of synthesis.

It manages to transform time into an abstraction, in which the past mixes with the present to pass on to future generations, with unchanged fidelity, the art of manual decoration.

This is the highest expression of our art of making ceramics.

Our strength is among brush strokes, smudges of color, small natural imperfections, depressions and ripples of the surface are intentionally present to merge the ancient artisan experience of our master decorators.

Every single piece is unique and different as a testimony to its authenticity, similar but never the same.

The production of ceramics

The first phase of ceramic processing is the creation of the prototype, hand-modeled in the laboratory by our model maker.

This is followed by the production of the “biscuit”, the semi-finished product on which we will paint, spray or dip in color.

Both for the press and for the casting, plaster molds are used, this material, in fact, absorbs the water of the wet mass. The body of the ceramic contracts and can therefore be easily extracted from the mold. This process requires both skill and accuracy, as well as a particular technical training. The cups and plates are generally made on the wheel or in a press. Today they are normally pressed with sophisticated automatic equipment.

Coffee pots, jugs, sugar bowls or oval pieces are made by casting.

Both for the turning, for the press and for the casting, plaster molds are used, this material, in fact, absorbs the water of the wet mass.

Each piece is then hand-glazed with care and attention by our master ceramists and after firing, it is carefully checked before being delivered to our customer.

The manufacturing of these products is done with artisanal and non-industrial processes.

Arcucci ceramic supports of various shapes, glazed and decorated, with a white or red base, rich artisanal glaze with native minerals, decorated manually with a wide range of warm and bright colors, obtained from natural oxides and with the use of different manual techniques, such as brushstrokes, spraying or immersion, followed by freehand decorations or hand prints.

Our products are recognized as a classic for the table, kitchen and interior finishes of quality furniture, a versatile and sunny reference, full of history with artistic references that have enchanted and fascinated the most diverse and demanding customers.
