Pekoe is a line designed by Lucas Frank to celebrate the art of tea. Pekoe is the most delicate and fragrant type of black tea, obtained from the first harvest of the plant, and especially from the young shoots.
The fruit of a finely tuned harvest that retains only the young shoots, Pekoë tea gives this set its name in homage to both its delicate design and its superb quality. Made of black clay with a special smooth black finish, it has a delightful touch and handling. The interior of the cups and teacup has a dark metal distressed chipped effect. The tea cup and saucer fit together perfectly ensuring stability while serving tea. This collection is strong and durable and will enhance your tea experience. Treated with an aged silver or dark metal glaze on the inside, the mug retains its raw black paste exterior, but this is polished to give a soft, sensual feel when held.
Definitely functional, the fin motif “a heat sink inspired by the fans of LED lamps” allows this cup to be held without a handle and at the same time guarantees its complete stability on the saucer on which it rests so perfectly.
